Behind every trampoline are the incredible people on our factory team, whose commitment to safety and quality has shaped our reputation globally. In this article, we’ll share the stories of a few of the people behind the product.
Let’s jump in.
Where Are Springfree Trampolines Made?
Quick Answer:
-
Manufactured in: Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China
-
Factory partner: DGSH Sourcing (sister brand of Springfree Trampoline under goba Sports Group)
-
Materials sourced from: U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Korea, Switzerland, Japan
-
Key differentiators: Engineering-led manufacturing, strict quality control, and people-first operations
Our Springfree Trampolines are manufactured by DGSH Sourcing (sister brand of Springfree Trampoline, which is owned by goba Sports Group) in the city of Dongguan, in Guangdong Province, China, right in the heart of the Pearl River Delta.

This region is one of the world’s most concentrated manufacturing hubs, built around strategic waterways, ports, and extensive logistics networks.
Tens of thousands of suppliers operate within the region, and 90% of our qualified suppliers are located within a one-hour drive of the factory.
This proximity allows us to quickly find and qualify new suppliers, address production challenges, and move rapidly when developing new products. Being in Dongguan also allows us to serve our global markets efficiently.
goba Sports Group manages multiple international brands beyond Springfree Trampoline (like gobaplay and The Net Return CA), shipping products to North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and other regions.
The combination of nearby suppliers and access to major transport routes ensures products reach customers around the world quickly and efficiently.
Our location in China does not limit the origin of our materials. We intentionally source high-quality components globally to ensure durability and performance.
Although we manufacture in China, we are a global company that sources products from all over the world, including from North American-based manufacturers.

For example, our metal frames are coated with paint from an American brand, and our trampoline mats and nets come from Canadian-owned suppliers.
Other critical materials, components, and machines come from New Zealand, Korea, Switzerland, and Japan.
By prioritizing quality over low-cost alternatives, every trampoline or play structure we produce meets the performance and longevity standards our customers expect.

How Springfree Trampoline Differs from Other China Manufacturers
It’s no secret that “Made in China” can carry certain assumptions.
The reality is that quality isn’t defined by geography. It’s defined by the standards, people, and processes behind the product.
At Springfree, our engineering discipline, world-class facilities, highly trained team, and uncompromising commitment to safety set us apart from typical manufacturers in the region.
We’ve built a system where every component, every step, and every quality check is held to a global benchmark, not a regional average.
In other words, it’s not where a Springfree Trampoline is made that matters. It’s how it’s made.
Here’s a closer look at what sets Springfree apart from traditional trampoline manufacturers.
1. Exceptional Engineering
When we say safety and quality are built into every component of a Springfree Trampoline, we genuinely mean it.
The signature springless trampoline design comes from a manufacturing process rooted in real engineering discipline, not unlike what you see in aerospace or automotive-grade production.
It starts with high-quality materials like heavy-duty geotextile mats designed for industrial applications, premium composite rods and high-performance UV-resistant coatings.

From there, every batch goes through strict incoming checks. Mats, steel, paint — nothing moves forward unless it meets our standards for strength, durability and weather resistance.
Here’s an example of our steel frames undergoing hardness testing:
On the production floor, we rely on “mistake-proofing” tools like custom gauges, jigs and fixtures to ensure every component is assembled with precision. If something isn’t within spec, it doesn’t make it into a trampoline.
Before anything leaves the factory, each trampoline undergoes final quality audits and endurance testing.
One of our most important benchmarks is the “three-million bounce test,” which simulates a child bouncing 15 minutes a day for 10 years. If a prototype doesn’t pass, we go back and improve it.
For you, that means when you open your Springfree box, every part has already been measured, tested, and refined. No surprises or shortcuts.
It’s why we back our trampolines with the most comprehensive warranty in the industry – 10 years on all parts – because every part contributes to the consistent quality you can expect in a Springfree Trampoline.

2. World-Class Facilities
From the outset, we aimed to operate differently from a typical low-cost manufacturer with our trampolines.
This includes our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, where our focus has been on building world-class operations that put safety, quality, and our people at the centre of daily work.
Production areas are organized according to lean manufacturing principles, creating clean, comfortable, and efficient workspaces.
All buildings are air-conditioned, shop floors are maintained to high standards, and workstations are designed to support both precision and ease of movement.
We provide three meals a day to our employees, including weekends, and offer flexible, family-friendly working hours.
Beyond that, we invest in our employees’ well-being with facilities that include:
-
A gym
-
Badminton courts for staff and their families
-
Rooftop gardens
-
An orchard
-
A chicken coop
-
A health and massage room.

These amenities create a wholesome and comfortable environment where employees can focus on producing high-quality trampolines while feeling valued and cared for.
3. Dedicated and Driven Employees
Of course, none of what we do is possible without our valued factory employees who unfailingly work to achieve our high standards and expectations every day.
Our goal is to make employment at DGSH (Springfree’s manufacturer and sister brand) a pathway for personal growth, while ensuring that staff have the opportunity to thrive in their roles and contribute meaningfully to our products.
Fifteen years ago, roughly 95% of our staff lived in our factory dormitory, often separated from their spouses and children.
Over time, we encouraged employees to move their families to Dongguan and put down roots.
Today, only about 25% of staff live in dormitories, which means families are together, children attend local schools, and households are more stable.
Beyond family stability, we aim to invest in our employees to help them expand their skills, abilities, and potential.
We want to spotlight a few employees who have excelled in their respective roles over the years:
• Linda – Purchasing & Community Leader
Linda has grown into a strong leader in purchasing, managing vendor relationships, material management, and cross-team coordination. She is a passionate badminton player. Before we invested in our courts, she had to travel and pay to play. Now she manages our courts, keeping them in top condition, and invites other factories and suppliers for friendly competitions. Linda has also started a small on-site vending machine business with the company’s support, providing convenient cold drinks for staff that are cheaper than the local convenience store while gaining entrepreneurial experience—all while continuing to contribute fully in her purchasing role.
• DanDan – Sewing Operator & Wellness Support
DanDan joined our sewing team after working in a physiotherapy centre with inconsistent hours, which made it difficult to support her family. She quickly became a skilled operator. From the opening of the health room, she has been actively involved, receiving additional training while contributing both her sewing expertise and wellness experience. This dual role provides her with increased income, skill development, and the chance to support her colleagues in their health and well-being.
• Xiao Yu – HR & Rooftop Agriculture
Xiaoyu leads the HR and administration department, but he also has a lifelong passion for farming, having grown up in Sichuan Province. We integrated this passion into his daily work by giving him responsibility for our rooftop gardens, orchard, and chicken coops. This allows him to experience a taste of farming right in the heart of an industrial city while contributing to the well-being of our staff and the broader workplace environment.
These examples demonstrate how stability, training, and opportunities to pursue personal passions help our employees thrive while supporting the production of high-quality products.
Long-term employment not only strengthens families but also develops people into highly skilled, engaged, and empowered team members.
4. Relentless Commitment to Excellence
Excellence at DGSH is a daily practice, not a slogan.
Our focus is on building world-class products and creating a culture that supports high-quality work.
Lean manufacturing is the tool we use to guide this culture, continuously improving workflows, workstation layouts, and decision-making to remove waste while increasing value.
Daily morning meetings reinforce this focus. These short, educational sessions set priorities, share lessons, and highlight improvements.
Each day, one department shares before-and-after improvement examples to show what has changed and why it matters. This is an example of yokoten, a Japanese principle of sharing good ideas horizontally across the organization.
This approach ensures that improvements in one area can inspire positive change across the factory.
To see some real-world examples of our before-and-after improvements, see the video below:
Another mindset we cultivate is asking: What can I fix today that bugs me?
This encourages employees to take immediate ownership of small problems, such as reorganizing files, adjusting tools, or fine-tuning machine settings.
Small daily improvements by every employee compound over time, making work smoother, more purposeful, and more enjoyable.
This continuous improvement mindset, combined with our investment in people and operational excellence, is what sets DGSH apart.
It drives the consistent quality of every product we produce and fosters a respectful, supportive environment where employees are empowered, their talents recognized, and their contributions valued.
