4 Top Trampolines for Cheerleaders This Year

These trampolines were graded on the following criteria:

  • Trampoline safety features.
  • Quality and durability.
  • Size, including weight limits and jumping room.
  • Trampoline design (Will it look good in your backyard?).
  • Trampoline warranty.
  • User reviews.
  • Trampoline cost (Affordability + long-term value).

The factors above are the main ones to look for when buying a backyard trampoline.

We’ll be choosing the best trampoline for cheerleading in four different categories: Best overall, best spring trampoline, best affordable and best extra-large trampoline.

This list is unbiased, and in full transparency, one of our Springfree Trampolines will be included. We’ll explain more in a bit.

Let’s get to it!

1. Best Overall – Springfree Jumbo Round Trampoline

Springfree Jumbo Round Trampoline Cheerleading

Grades:

  • Safety features – 4.9/5
  • Trampoline quality and durability – 4.9 /5
  • Value for money  – 4.6/5
  • Ease of assembly  – 4/5
  • User reviews– 4.8/5 ProductReview.com.au
  • Price: $2,999

Pros:

  • World’s safest Trampoline, with a springless design, flexible jumping net, edge-free mat, jumper-safe frame, and enclosure rods replacing traditional metal poles.
  • Mat rods (which replace the springs) are 3x stronger than steel and 4x more flexible.
  • Trampoline includes UV treatment for all major components.
  • Galvanized and triple-layer rust-protected frame.
  • Expected lifespan of 10+ years with reasonable use.
  • Exclusive 10-year warranty on ALL trampoline parts – the only company to offer this.
  • 12.6m2 jumping space in a 6m x 6m size which is all mat surface - no springs.
  • Provides a smooth, non-jarring bounce while rivaling a spring trampoline’s height.
  • Modern design that enhances backyard aesthetics; customizable in seven colors.

Cons:

  • Assembly may be challenging, especially inserting the mat rods; professional assembly is available for $249.
  • Initial cost is high ($2,999).

The Verdict:

Springfree Trampolines are the safest, highest-quality and longest-lasting Trampolines on the market.

For cheerleaders, the amount of jumping space you get with the Jumbo Round Trampoline relative to its size is a huge plus.

No doubt, the upfront cost is higher than most other trampolines on the market. The trampoline assembly process can also be complex.

But if you combine safety, bounce quality and durability, a Springfree Trampoline is the best type of home trampoline for cheerleaders.

It provides plenty of room to practice moves, is low maintenance and will last for the long haul while keeping your kids safe.

2. Best Spring Trampoline – Jumpflex 15ft Hero Trampoline

  • Safety features – 4.5 /5
  • Trampoline quality and durability – 4.7 /5
  • Value for money  – 4.5/5
  • Ease of assembly  – 4/5
  • User reviews– 4.7/5 ProductReview.com.au
  • Price: $1,499

Pros:

  • Unique and fashionable design.
  • Trampolines are made from good-quality material.
  • Include solid durability features—including a 42 mm steel frame and metal components that undergo a six-layer rust-proofing process.
  • Offers a 10-year warranty for their frame on manufactured defects (can purchase a lifetime warranty for $59).
  • Any trampoline purchase comes with a trampoline ladder.

Cons:

  • Trampoline safety concerns: Although their trampolines’ poles are curved, they are still static and could cause injury to wayward jumpers. Gaps between the mat and the net are possible, exposing a potential falling area.
  • You must purchase the lifetime warranty and the standard warranty only covers manufacturer defects for the frame.  And they offer only a 5 year jump mat and spring warranty and a 1 year spring pad and safety net warranty.
  • Low recommended single jumper weight limits on their trampolines (90 kg.)

The Verdict:

The Jumpflex Hero 15ft Trampoline is a quality Trampoline with a solid spring-based bounce.

For the price, you would like a longer lasting warranty.

That being said, this is a trampoline that should last (albeit with replacement part changes) for the long haul.

If you prefer a trampoline with springs for cheerleading, an Jumpflex Hero 15ft trampoline would be a good option.

3. Best Affordable – Vuly Flare Large

  • Safety features – 4.6 /5
  • Trampoline quality and durability – 4.4 /5
  • Value for money  – 4.3/5
  • Ease of assembly  – 4.2/5
  • User reviews– 4.5/5 ProductReview.com.au
  • Price: $499

Pros:

  • Affordable entry level trampoline.
  • Come with safety net and padding.
  • UV-protected materials used.

Cons:

  • The inexpensive price means they are made from inexpensive material: Don’t expect the trampolines to last more than three years without needing maintenance.
  • Numerous safety hazards, including metal static poles and a fragile net.
  • 1 year warranty on safety net, net poles and safety padding and a 3 year warranty on frame tubes, joiner poles, springs and jump mat.
  • The design of the trampoline is not the most visually appealing.

The Verdict:

If you’re looking for a budget trampoline, the Vuly Flare Large is an affordable option.

It does have some positive features, like a no-gap enclosure system and springs that are external to the enclosure.

But if your child is passionate about cheer, this Trampoline would not be a great option.

You might be saving money upfront, but you will be paying for it later with replacement parts.

It’s also not the most sturdily built Trampoline, so safety concerns could arise if it begins to break down.

4. Best Inground Trampoline – Rectangle Capital In-Ground Oz Trampoline

Oz Trampoline Rectangle In Ground

  • Safety features – 5/5
  • Trampoline quality and durability – 5 /5
  • Value for money  – 4.9/5
  • Ease of assembly  – 4.9/5
  • User reviews– 4.9/5 ProductReview.com.au
  • Price: $2,999

Pros:

  • Tons of jumping space for cheerleaders to practice their moves.
  • Great customer reviews.
  • Kids can jump without the risk of falling from height.
  • They provide a streamlined look that blends in seamlessly with your lawn and doesn’t obstruct your view.

Cons:
  • It’s a huge commitment, as once the in-ground trampoline is installed you’re not able to move it around like the above ground models.
  • You'll need to factor in the added expense of hiring professionals to dig and reinforce a safe hole with proper drainage.
  • The warranty terms don't align with the price and commitment: Frame and retaining wall (10 years), Jump mat and springs (5 years), Safety pads and enclosure (2 years).

The Verdict:

While offering ample space for cheerleading practice and receiving positive customer feedback, the in-ground trampoline ensures safety and aesthetics.

However, its immobility post-installation and the additional cost of professional setup should be considered alongside the warranty terms that may not match the investment and commitment required.

How to Buy the Best Home Trampoline for Cheerleading

You’ve seen the best trampolines for cheerleading. Now how do you choose one?

It’s going to come down to your goals.

A few things you must check off before choosing a trampoline are:

  • What’s your budget for a trampoline
  • How much space do you have in your backyard?
  • Who will be jumping on the trampoline?

These will at least get you started.

Look through trampolines in your budget at sizes that will safely fit your backyard and your jumpers.

From there, you can start assessing trampolines on the features you desire most.

Whether that’s trampoline safety (which we would recommend), durability, jumping room, aesthetics… it’s up to you.

Start with elimination first (trampolines that don’t fit your budget, backyard or jumpers). It will make your life a lot easier.
