Easter really is a great time of year. The changing of seasons and temperatures cooling, so being outside is much more enjoyable. Plus there's chocolate everywhere, hot cross buns warm in our ovens, cute little bunnies, and did we mention chocolate? It's also a great time to get out with the kids to enjoy the many Easter events happening around the South East Queensland region.
Moreton Kids Festival

Moreton Kids Festival has five amazing worlds of fun that celebrate the wide-eyed wonderment and enthusiasm of kids – and their different interests. Enjoy a huge program of family-friendly entertainment, whatever your child’s passion. Headlining the event is Nickelodeon’s PAW Patrol, so it is perfect for kids under the age of 10.

Redcliffe Festival of Sails

Where: Suttons Beach, Redcliffe
Cost: Free
The annual Redcliffe Festival of Sails attracts thousands of adoring fans to the Redcliffe Peninsula each year. The Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race is one of Australia’s largest yachting events and Redcliffe offers some of the best views to watch the yachts as they glide past the peninsula. The festival is free to enter and features plenty of Easter-themed activities including rides and amusements, live music and entertainment - PLUS the famed sky-diving Easter Bunny!

Bluewater Festival
When: 15 April 2022 (Good Friday)
Time: 8am - 7pm
Where: Shorncliffe Pier
Cost: Free Entry
The festival is held on the scenic foreshore at Shorncliffe in conjunction with the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. It’s a perfect vantage point to watch the start of this iconic race plus an opportunity to see the fire-cannon start of the Multihull Yacht race off the Pier. Lower Moora Park, Shorncliffe is jam packed with FREE entertainment through the day with live bands, kids workshops, rides, food and markets all culminating into a beach party and fireworks in the evening.

Easter Eggstravaganza at NightQuarter

Where: Birtinya, Sunshine Coast
Cost: Kids $2, Adults $5, Family $10
Get ready for a two hour Easter egg-stravaganza at NightQuarter on the Sunshine Coast - complete with stage AND magic shows, Easter egg hunt, as well as kids dance party with games and prizes. It’s going to be an action-packed night full of entertainment for the whole family!
