Easter really is a great time of year. The season is changing to temperatures that actually make being outside enjoyable, there's chocolate all around, cute bunnies and chickens adorn shop windows, hot cross buns warm in our ovens and did we mention chocolate? It's also a great time to get out with the kids to enjoy the many Easter events happening around Brisbane city and region.

The annual Redcliffe Festival of Sails attracts thousands of adoring fans to the Redcliffe Peninsula each year. The Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race is one of Australia’s largest yachting events and Redcliffe offers some of the best views to watch the yachts as they glide past the peninsula. The festival is free to enter and features a plethora of Easter-themed activities including rides and amusements, live music and entertainment, and the famed sky-diving Easter Bunny!

The festival is held on the scenic foreshore at Shorncliffe in conjunction with the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. It’s a perfect vantage point to watch the start of this iconic race plus an opportunity to see the fire-cannon start of the Multihull Yacht race off the Pier. Lower Moora Park, Shorncliffe is jam packed with FREE entertainment through the day with live bands, kids workshops, rides, food and markets all culminating into a beach party and fireworks in the evening.
