Leanne Fretwell, a Manager of Springfree™ Trampolines has taken out the 2009 ‘Young Manager of the Year’ award at the exclusive Australian Institute of Management award ceremony on the Sunshine Coast. The ‘Young Manager of the Year – Sunshine Coast’ award was one of the most hotly contested with 6 esteemed finalist from a range of industries. What set Leanne apart was the combination of her broad professional achievements including the instigation and implementation of a number of Springfree™ Trampolines internal processes and systems which contributes to the success story and increasing global presence of Springfree™ Trampoline. Looking at Leanne’s resume and professional achievements, one would think it would span over decades, but Leanne’s attitude to her role, dedication to her company and firm but fair approach to her employees as seen Leanne deservedly grow to where she is today. Whilst managing Springfree™ Trampolines Human Resources, Finance and IT throughout Australasia, as well as a shared General Management role for Springfree Trampolines in Australia, Leanne is studying part-time completing a Bachelor of Business (Finance) with a minor in Human Resources at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Not to mention she happily married with two step children. Leanne seems to find the time for everyone and is an example an inspiration to all, especially her staff members. Competing against accomplished managers from big brands such as Australia Zoo, St George Bank, Hungry Jacks, and Accor hotels, Leanne was extremely humble and honored with such recognition. “It is a huge honor to receive this award. Five years ago I started at a junior position within the organisation, and through Springfree™ Trampolines encouragement and faith in my skills; I’ve had the autonomy to help grow the organisation and myself professionally and for that I am so grateful. What makes my role enjoyable and rewarding is being able to inspire and lead the team to achieve goals and to watch the personal growth of the each and every team member which I believe is the key to both Springfree™ Trampoline and my success,” Fretwell concluded.
Other awards presented at AIM Excellence award ceremony included Professional Manager of the Year, Rural/Remote Manager of the Year, Young Manager of the Year, Owner/Manager of the Year, and a special medallion for outstanding management and leadership.
