Rhymes for Rhymes Competition: Rhyme for your chance to WIN!

Springfree™ Trampoline is again attending the Rhymes Festival in Brisbane on Sunday 22nd January 2012 at the RNA Showgrounds Exhibition Hall and we’re giving you a chance to WIN passes!

We’re giving away TWO (2) Family Passes (2 adults & 2 children; value of $39 per person, total value of $156) AND for one lucky family, a ONE (1) Family VIP Pass which includes VIP room access, food, drinks and VIP toilet access (2 adults & 2 children; value of $99 per person, total value of $396).

How to Enter: All you have to do is write a rhyme or rap about how much fun a Springfree™ Trampoline is, and post it as a comment on this blog entry by 5.00pm AEDT on Sunday 15th January 2012! The rhyme or rap must be a minimum of 4 lines of copy.

How to Rhyme: To write a rhyme, you simply need to make the last word for the second and fourth line rhyme! As you move on to additional lines, the last word in the sixth line needs to rhyme with the eight line and so on. Easy peasy!

Example: A Poem Is a Little Path **
A poem is a little path
That leads you through the trees.
It takes you to the cliffs and shores,
To anywhere you please.

Follow it and trust your way
With mind and heart as one,
And when the journey’s over,
You’ll find you’ve just begun.
** From The 20th Century Children’s Poetry Treasury, Knopf, 1999, copyright by Charles Ghigna.

Springfree™ Trampoline Rhyme for Rhymes DOs and DON’Ts:
• The subject of all rhymes or rap must be in some way about how much fun a Springfree™ Trampoline is
• No swearing, drug references or sexual slurs allowed
• No reference to dangerous jumping/activities
• No reference to more than one person jumping (This is strongly advised by the team at Springfree™ Trampoline as more than one jumper can increase chances of injury!)

Weekend Sunrise with Springfree Trampoline Sydney

This past Sunday, the Springfree Trampoline Experience Centre in Ryde hosted Weekend Sunrise for their outdoor weather broadcast!

James Tobin, Sunrise host, wearing a balloon Jetpack! How fun.

It was a wonderful day with lots of smiles and trampoline jumping. Santa even came all the way from the North Pole in his sleigh to be a part of our special day. There were fun activities for the kids at the Springfree Trampoline Christmas Workshop and breaky for everyone. Mmmm… we loved the delicious bacon and egg rolls!

Santa was on hand to spread the holiday cheer!

We also had Gymnastics NSW trampolinists, Imogen Florian and Owen Gilbert, on hand for incredible trampoline demonstrations.

Beautiful Noah definitely enjoyed the Springfree!

We owe massive thank yous to everyone involved in the success of this event:

  • James Tobin and the Weekend Sunrise TV crew for broadcasting from our Experience Centre;
  • Face Fiction for the amazing face painting and balloon twisting;
  • Gymnastics NSW coach Nick Carroll, Christine Flew and team for your incredible demos;
  • Katherina from Spitze Photography for capturing our day so beautifully;
  • HeartKids for your presence and being a part of our day;
  • And of course, to all of the families who came out! We hope you had a blast.

We hope it was a day to remember!

Men are the new women in the underwear stakes!

Watch out ladies, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, Men are the New Women… Confused? It all started with the Mirdle also known as the Men’s Girdle.

mirdle_420-420x0

Designed to smooth and slenderize the waistline, the Mirdle is the latest craze hitting Australian department stores and men love the shape they can achieve with the Mirdle, which is reflected in the under garment sales.

This new trend doesn’t really surprise me! With the “Metro Man” now the norm in modern society – isn’t this just an extension of their needs?

The Metro Man is defined by their security in their sexuality, sensitivity, intuition and penchant for grooming. Their interest in style and fashion (and figure flattering underwear) doesn’t make them feel any less masculine or any less heterosexual.

We have a variety of different type of personalities in the Australian Springfree™ Trampoline office so I was interested to see if any of the men here would wear the Mirdle?

Justin Sales Consultant aged 24

“I would wear it! If it took 5 years of your gut who wouldn’t?”

Paul – Spare Parts and Warranty late 30′s

“Yeah I would definitely wear it! What a great idea.

Aaron – Warehouse assistant early 30′s

“No, No, No…. Not this week anyway but things could change.”

Jason – Sales Consultant Sydney Late 20′s

“No – I might if I was bigger”

So there you have it! The Metro Man gets stronger everyday…

What do you think about the Mirdle? Or better yet are you wearing one now?

Pick your Standards, Australia!

When riding a bike you must wear a helmet. That’s the law as we know it to ensure no one seriously hurts themselves and it makes sense. You may be thinking…. ‘What’s that got to do with the price of Fish?’

Well when it comes to Trampolines there is no such mandatory standard even though they cause over 6,000 admissions to Australian hospitals each year!

Don’t get us wrong there is an Australian Safety Standard out there but it’s completely voluntary!

Springfree is very proud to boast that we are the ONLY Trampoline in Australian guaranteed to adhere to the Australian Standards!

Many trampolines sold in Australia do not comply with the Australian Standard (AS4989 – Trampolines – Safety Aspects) and safety should not be a compromise when it comes to your children… Springfree Trampolines are the only safe option!

Springfree Trampoline - World's Safest Jump!

Springfree Trampoline - World's Safest Jump!

You can download detailed information on updated Australian Trampoline Standard, introduced late 2006 and read more about trampoline safety and why Springfree is the world’s safest jump on the Springfree Trampoline website.

From all the team at Springfree, thanks for reading. For any further info on Springfree products, please visit the Springfree Trampoline website. Until next time, safe jumping.”
